Summary
The City of Guelph is seeking a Licensed Millwright for its Wastewater Services Division. This permanent, full-time role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as repairs on a variety of equipment at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sewage Pumping Stations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical equipment, coordinating with external contractors, responding to emergency failures, and managing a Computerized Maintenance Management System. The position also requires welding, pipe fitting, rigging, and operational duties, along with ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards and environmental regulations. The role requires a valid Industrial Maintenance Millwright Certificate (433A), a Grade 12 Diploma with 4 years of maintenance experience (preferably in water/wastewater), and a valid Class G driver's license. A Wastewater Treatment OIT Certificate and the ability to obtain a Class 1 Wastewater Treatment License are also required. The position involves a standard work week with rotating on-call duties.
