Corporate Financial Advisor
Summary
The City of Kitchener is seeking a Corporate Financial Advisor to provide advanced financial analysis, modeling, and advisory support. This role reports to the Manager of Budgets and is responsible for developing complex financial models, evaluating compensation costs, monitoring corporate reserves, and supporting major organizational initiatives. The position requires translating sophisticated financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and Council. Key responsibilities include financial management, analysis of internal charge frameworks, fleet charge-out processes, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role also involves labour cost modelling and budgeting, including preparing costing analyses for collective bargaining, evaluating compensation adjustments, and managing the master salary module. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum 4-year Honours Degree, 4 years of related experience, and a CPA designation, along with advanced Excel and data modelling skills, and strong communication and analytical abilities.
