Registered Nurse-Combined Med/Surg - Chest Unit

Summary

Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Temporary Full Time Registered Nurse for their Combined Medical/Surgical - Chest Unit. This role involves working in various units based on organizational need, requiring flexibility and resilience. The Registered Nurse will coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, provide personal care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and document care in the electronic record. The position is scheduled for all shifts, including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key requirements include a BScN or equivalent, registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification (or commitment to complete within one year), excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to professional development. Preferred qualifications include a BScN, demonstrated knowledge in managing chest tubes, tracheostomies, epidural analgesia, BiPAP, pain pumps, and central lines, Cerner Healthcare Software knowledge, and a minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in an acute medical or surgical unit.
