Classroom & Student Supervisor
Summary
The Wellington Catholic District School Board is seeking a Classroom & Student Supervisor to support students in the absence of their regular teacher. The primary responsibility of this role is to supervise elementary and/or secondary students in various school settings, ensuring a safe, secure, and engaging learning environment. Key duties include following instructions left by the teacher or principal, coordinating safe and enjoyable activities, managing minor student discipline issues, and cooperating with school staff on safety protocols and emergency plans. Candidates must have a minimum of a Grade 12 education or equivalent. Post-secondary education related to children and youth and prior experience working with children are considered strong assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and decision-making skills, the ability to follow instructions and use initiative, and a commitment to maintaining student confidentiality. An understanding of and willingness to support the mission of a Catholic school system is also required. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, NVCI, and BMS are considered assets.
