Manager, Professional Practice and Quality (Seniors Services)

Summary

The Region of Waterloo is seeking a Manager, Professional Practice and Quality for their Seniors Services division at Sunnyside Home. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and evaluating the internal investigative and quality management program to ensure service consistency and compliance with legislation and policies. The Manager will supervise a team including a Quality and Risk Coordinator, RAI team, Staff Education Coordinator, and Quality RPNs. Key duties involve managing internal investigations, developing quality improvement initiatives, overseeing the resident complaint management program, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation like PHIPA and MFIPPA. The position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent in Health Sciences, current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN, and demonstrated experience in investigations, quality assurance, and leadership within a healthcare or regulated environment. The role involves participation in an on-call rotation and requires flexibility in work hours.
