Mental Health Clinician - Registered Nurse
Summary
Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Mental Health - Outpatient department. The RN will provide comprehensive psychiatric and mental health care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, psychosocial crises, or those requiring specialized treatments like ECT, CTO, Clozapine management, and Long Acting injectable medications. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, administering medications, supporting ECT procedures, managing referrals, and providing patient and family education. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists, and may require re-assignment based on operational needs. The position requires a current RN certificate of registration with the CNO, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and CNA certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in Mental Health Nursing is required, along with strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, medications, and relevant legislation. Experience with case management and community resources is also beneficial.
