Summary

Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA) is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for their Operating Room at the Listowel site. This role involves participating in preoperative, operative, and postoperative care, including acting as a scrub nurse, assisting with ambulatory care clinics, and documenting client care. The position requires registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), a diploma from a recognized college, and specific certifications such as BCLS, NRP, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias, 12 Lead ECG Interpretation, and a Peri-Operative Course. Experience in Day Surgery, PACU, and the OR, particularly as a Scrub Nurse, is preferred. The role demands a high degree of physical and mental effort, involves working with diverse patient populations, and requires the ability to operate medical equipment and administer medications. The position is for a fixed term from February 2026 to January 2027, with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on-call.
