Senior Engineer (Water Services)

Summary

The Region of Waterloo is seeking a Senior Engineer for their Water Services division. This role involves planning, designing, managing, and authorizing engineering services, operations, and assets for large-scale, complex projects. Key responsibilities include chairing project teams, conducting assessments, designing capital projects, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing property transactions. The position also involves supervising engineering staff, administering contracts, negotiating with stakeholders, and representing the Region in various dealings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, and possess strong knowledge of municipal engineering principles, relevant legislation, and project management practices. Excellent communication, human relations, and computer skills are also required.
