Information Management Specialist
Summary
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is seeking an Information Management Specialist to ensure the timely entry, maintenance, quality, and confidentiality of data within the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) and records management systems (RMS). This role supports investigations, resource deployment, reporting, and data analytics by processing and inputting data, querying systems, exchanging information with external agencies, and ensuring data accuracy. The specialist will also recommend and implement process improvements, communicate information management procedures, and train new employees. Candidates require one year of relevant experience in legal or justice administration, health care administration, information management, or a related field, with previous customer service experience being preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to apply legislation and criminal justice documentation are essential.
