Wastewater Operator
Summary
The City of Waterloo is seeking a Regular Full-Time Wastewater Operator to join their Utilities Division. Reporting to the Supervisor of Wastewater Operations and Maintenance, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and emergency response on wastewater collection and water distribution systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with MECP guidelines, participating in operational program development, and being part of an on-duty rotation for Operator in Charge responsibilities. The position requires a Grade 12 diploma, MECP certification for Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection (Class 1 preferred), and 1-2 years of experience in a related field. A valid MTO ‘DZ’ class driver’s licence is also required.
