Summary
Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for their Renal Program at the North Wellington Satellite location. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in a hemodialysis setting, focusing on preventative, restorative, and supportive services. This role contributes to maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The position requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and BCLS certification. Preferred qualifications include current certification in Nephrology Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (or willingness to obtain within two years), two years of full-time equivalent clinical experience in hemodialysis for acute and chronic care patients, and hemodialysis leadership experience. Additional preferred skills include certification in Blood Bank administration, IV Drug Therapy, and Hemodialysis access management. The role also emphasizes the ability to practice in a collaborative care model, care for complex patients in a team setting, knowledge of nephrology theory, effective interaction with interdisciplinary teams, and strong patient education skills.
