Summary
Ontario One Call (OOC) is seeking a Support Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for industry support and guidance, ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of locate requests. This role involves managing multiple systems to troubleshoot scenarios, offering solutions with safety and best practices in mind, fostering positive relationships with users, and managing escalations. Key responsibilities include providing guidance for web portal users, correcting stalled tickets, responding to inquiries about OOC services, managing urgent calls for emergencies, and maintaining accurate user accounts within a CRM. The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education in Customer Service Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least two years of customer support or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential, as is proficiency with MS Office 365, particularly Outlook and Teams. Familiarity with customer support software and tools, adaptability to new technologies, and a growth mindset are also important. Fluency in French is considered an asset. This position is located in Guelph, Ontario, and operates under a hybrid work model. OOC offers a starting salary of $54,000 - $57,500 annually, a comprehensive company-paid benefit plan, enrollment in the CAAT DBPlus Pension Plan with company match, three weeks of paid vacation, and ten personal emergency days per year.
