Summary
Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Childbirth department. This temporary, unscheduled, part-time position involves providing and coordinating care for high and low-risk antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and neonates within a family-centered care framework. The role requires a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, current BCLS, and a minimum of two years' recent experience in Surgery, Medicine, or Emergency nursing. While recent perinatal nursing experience is preferred, graduate nurses with obstetrics practicum consolidation may be considered. Additional mandatory requirements include current NRP Provider status (or obtaining it before orientation), completion of an 18-hour in-person breastfeeding course within six months of hire, and completion of a Fetal Health Surveillance course for intrapartum care. Preferred qualifications include completion of or enrollment in a perinatal certificate course or Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Perinatal Certification.
