Recruitment Specialist
Summary
The County of Wellington is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join their Human Resources department. This full-time, permanent role is based on-site at Wellington Terrace in Centre Wellington, Ontario. The Recruitment Specialist will report to the Manager of Human Resources and be responsible for the full cycle of recruitment and selection for both union and non-union positions. Key duties include developing recruitment strategies, collaborating with hiring managers, preparing employment documentation, coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, and representing the County at career fairs and outreach events. The position requires adherence to employment legislation and collective agreements, with a focus on providing a customer service-centered experience. The ideal candidate will have a three-year college diploma in human resources management or a related field, a Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) Designation, and a minimum of four years of experience in human resources, preferably in a municipal setting. Strong knowledge of recruitment techniques, employment legislation (including ESA, Human Rights, OHSA, Pay Equity, and AODA), and HRIS systems is essential. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems is also required. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary.
