Instructor/Lifeguard

Summary

The City of Cambridge is seeking an Instructor/Lifeguard to lead learn-to-swim and lifesaving programs. This role involves preparing lesson plans, enforcing safety policies, and ensuring the well-being of participants in the aquatic facility. The instructor will evaluate student progress, maintain pool equipment, and perform light cleaning duties. Experience working with children is considered an asset. The position requires specific certifications, including National Lifeguard - Pool, Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor, Intermediate or Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED, and High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development, with some potentially obtainable within six months of hire. A Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required prior to employment.
