Summary

The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA) is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Pharmacy Technician for their Wingham site. This role involves entering, dispensing, and compounding prescription medications for inpatients and some outpatients, managing pharmacy inventory, and ensuring compliance with the Narcotic & Controlled Act. The position requires a Pharmacy Tech diploma with certification, registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacy, and 3 to 6 months of related experience. The role demands a high degree of mental effort and analysis, along with moderate physical effort. Responsibilities include processing medication orders, participating in medication history collection, preparing chemotherapy and IV admixtures, and dispensing various types of medications accurately. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with potential for all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
