Summary

Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a Job Share position at their Queen’s Blvd location (formerly St. Mary’s General Hospital) in Kitchener, ON. The RPN is a professional caregiver accountable for the quality of patient care, providing direct care to assigned patients and collaborating with Registered Nurses on more complex cases. This role requires a graduate of a Registered Practical Nurse Program acceptable to the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a current Certificate of Competence and membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Recent experience in physical assessments, a medication course, current BCLS certification, and the ability to meet hospital requirements for IV therapy and catheterization are essential. The position also demands strong organizational and public relation skills, knowledge of Charting by Exception and Nursing Diagnosis, and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team while promoting a safe and positive workplace.
