Registered Practical Nurse, Inpatient Unit

Summary

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a regular part-time position in the Inpatient Unit at Clinton Public Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse inpatient caseload that includes acute care, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, paediatrics, and palliative care. This role involves working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, including community partners, to provide comprehensive patient care. Applicants must hold a current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a current BLS certification. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting. Key clinical skills required include IV drug administration, insertion of gastric tubes, flushing of PRN adaptors, and subcutaneous portal insertion and drug administration. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, and familiarity with the Meditech Information System is considered an asset.
