Food Service Worker
Summary
The Elliott Community is seeking a Food Service Worker to provide quality and nutritious meals to residents, ensuring their individual nutritional requirements are met while creating a positive and engaging mealtime experience. This role involves serving meals, providing exceptional customer service, encouraging social interaction during mealtimes, and consulting resident records (Kardex) for dietary needs and preferences. The Food Service Worker will also be responsible for dishwashing, maintaining a clean work area, and preparing nourishment carts. The ideal candidate will possess a Food Service Worker Certificate or be currently enrolled with completion within two years, or be a student in the Applied Human Nutrition Program. A Safe Food Handling Certificate and Smart Serve Certificate are also required. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends. A Vulnerable Sector Search Criminal Record check and up-to-date immunization records, including COVID-19 vaccination, are mandatory.
