Communications and Events Coordinator
Summary
KidsAbility is seeking a full-time, permanent Communications and Events Coordinator to join their team in Waterloo. This role is crucial in advancing the organization's mission by managing engaging events, effective communications, and collaborative initiatives. The coordinator will support the planning and execution of various events, create and maintain digital content, and contribute to communications projects targeting employees, clients, families, and community partners. The position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities, ensure timely and accurate communication, and uphold brand standards. The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field, with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include event logistics, virtual event support, website content management, and developing digital communication materials. Experience in a healthcare, not-for-profit, or community-based organization is considered an asset, as is familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms. A valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle are also required.
