Senior Project Manager, Architectural
Summary
The City of Waterloo is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Architectural to oversee medium and large-scale multi-discipline capital construction projects at City facilities, with a focus on building restoration and building science. This role involves acting as the City's primary contact for assigned projects, liaising between various stakeholders including external construction teams, City programming teams, tenants, City Council, and the public. The Senior Project Manager will lead multi-disciplinary project teams, provide senior leadership and mentorship to junior staff, and assist with capital planning and asset management. Responsibilities include participating in planning, design, procurement, and safe execution of work, managing dispute resolution, preparing budget estimates, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation. The position requires a university degree in Architecture with a minimum of six years of related experience and a Professional Architect (OAA) license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Revit, and PDF editing software is an asset.
