Before and After School Support
Summary
The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking a Before and After School Support (B.A.S.S.) Long-term occasional employee to work part-time, 11.25 hours per week. This role involves supporting play-based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6 within the Board's Before and After school program. The successful candidate will work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE), providing general student supervision and fostering positive interactions, self-regulation, and inclusive learning environments. Key responsibilities include supporting child-initiated and adult-supported experiences, promoting health, safety, and well-being, and adhering to licensing requirements under the Child Care and Early Years Act. A high school diploma and prior experience supervising children are mandatory, along with a valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED or willingness to obtain it, and a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
