Educational Assistant

Summary

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is seeking Casual Educational Assistants to support students with special needs and exceptionalities. In this role, you will provide direct care and educational facilitation, assisting students with physical, safety, medical, behavioral, cognitive, communication, and learning needs. Responsibilities include supporting program delivery in individual and group settings, assisting with transitions, supervising students, preparing materials, aiding with behavior management and de-escalation, and performing personal care tasks. The position requires a Community College Diploma in Educational Assistant/Educational Support or equivalent, the ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently within a team, and possess basic computer skills. Relevant additional training and experience with students in special needs are preferred. This is a casual position with an hourly rate of $32.35.
