Summary
The Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking an Unscheduled Part Time Patient Services Supervisor to oversee daily operations and staff at the NFS Patient Service areas within the KW and Freeport campuses. This role involves managing production, portioning, tray assembly, delivery, nourishment preparation, and ware washing, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, collective agreements, and relevant legislation like HACCP, WHIMIS, and OHS guidelines. The supervisor will also be involved in human resources functions such as interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling. Additionally, the position requires performing diet office duties, modifying patient menus, preparing accounting reports, and participating in quality improvement projects and the dietetic internship program. The role demands strong leadership, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of therapeutic diets and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous supervisory experience in a unionized healthcare environment is required.
