Classroom Supervisor (Unqualified Teacher)
Summary
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is seeking Classroom Supervisors to provide daily temporary support in elementary and secondary schools from September to June. This role is intended to fill in for absent teachers on an emergency basis when a qualified occasional teacher is not available. Responsibilities include supervising students in various settings, following instructions from the classroom teacher or principal, implementing established classroom management strategies, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. Ideal candidates are post-secondary students currently enrolled in a Concurrent or Consecutive Faculty of Education program, internationally or out-of-province trained educators in the process of obtaining their Ontario College of Teachers' accreditation, or individuals with post-secondary education and experience working with children. All applicants must provide a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate. The application process requires a cover letter, resume, and two professional academic references, among other documents.
