Summary
This full-time, permanent Primary Care Nurse Practitioner position is based in Kitchener, Ontario, with the Waterloo Region Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (WRNPLC) and the Cambridge/Kitchener Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinics (RAAM). The role involves providing comprehensive primary care services for 3-4 days a week, focusing on health promotion, patient education, and disease prevention across the lifespan. Additionally, the NP will dedicate 1-2 days to specialty addictions care at RAAM sites, participating in program development and evaluation. Key requirements include a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing, current registration as an RN(EC) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and demonstrated experience in community or primary care, particularly with vulnerable populations including those with mental health and addictions. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office 365. Training in addiction-specific competencies will be provided and supported.
