Financial Analyst - Budgets

Summary

The City of Cambridge is seeking a Financial Analyst - Budgets for a temporary, approximately 16-month term position. Reporting to the Supervisor of Financial Planning, the analyst will provide crucial support to the Financial Planning team in developing multi-year operating budgets, business plans, and forecasts. Key responsibilities include preparing financial analysis, variance and trend analysis, account reconciliations, and assisting with the compilation of the City's budget documents and reports. The role also involves maintaining the salary plan, preparing journal entries, and supporting financial and budget systems. The position requires a University Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with two years of intermediate accounting experience and advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP and FMW systems is considered an asset, and working towards a CPA designation is preferred.
