Hospitality & Tourism Teacher

Summary

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is seeking a Secondary School Credit Hospitality & Tourism Teacher for St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum in both classroom and kitchen settings, guiding the Culinary Program, and preparing students for community placements. The teacher will also handle administrative duties such as laundry and shopping. Candidates must possess a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification with senior teaching qualifications in Technological studies- Hospitality Services, or be an uncertified teacher considered for the role. Previous food industry experience and teaching experience are desirable assets, as is a Red Seal Certificate. The position is located at St. Louis Main Campus in Kitchener, with program hours from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, plus potential administrative hours. The teaching format is a compressed schedule over 5 terms.
