Registered Practical Nurse, Inpatient Unit

Summary

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a temporary part-time position in the Inpatient Unit at the Seaforth Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse inpatient caseload, which includes acute care, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, paediatrics, and palliative care patients. This role requires collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and with community partners. Applicants must hold a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a valid BLS certification. A minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Required clinical skills include IV drug administration, insertion of gastric tubes, and subcutaneous portal insertion and drug administration. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and organizational skills, a commitment to ongoing education, and experience with the Meditech Information System.
