School Crossing Guard

Summary

The Township of Guelph/Eramosa is seeking reliable and adaptable temporary relief School Crossing Guards to join their casual employment pool. This position is required from September to June, covering morning (7:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.) and afternoon (2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.) shifts when regular crossing guards are unavailable. The role involves directing children safely across streets in accordance with traffic laws and township guidelines, requiring alertness to changing traffic conditions. Successful candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather, possess strong public service and safety-conscious skills, and be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods. A Vulnerable Sector Check is a condition of employment. First-Aid and CPR training are considered assets.
