Summary
Conestoga College is seeking qualified professionals to teach part-time courses to Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant students from January to April 2027. The role involves delivering instruction in various subjects such as Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Veterinary Laboratory Procedures, and Radiography, with courses typically lasting 2-6 hours per week over a 14-week term. Responsibilities include ensuring curriculum relevance, facilitating student learning, evaluating student progress, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. The position requires a two- or three-year diploma in Veterinary Technology or a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, along with at least five years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Licensed Veterinarian in Ontario. Experience in adult education, curriculum development, and specific certifications like Fear Free and RECOVER Rescuer CPR are considered assets. Successful candidates must be available to work on campus in Kitchener, Ontario, and will be required to provide proof of rabies vaccination.
