Assistant Swim Instructor

Summary

The City of Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Swim Instructor to assist with learn-to-swim programs and promote drowning prevention education. This role involves ensuring the safety of program participants, enforcing facility rules, responding to accidents, and completing light cleaning duties. The position also requires accurate record-keeping and participation in training sessions. Candidates should have experience working with children, which is considered an asset. Required certifications include Bronze Cross, Intermediate First Aid/Standard First Aid, and High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). A National Lifeguard certification is also an asset. A Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate are required upon hiring.
