Registered Ultrasound Technologist
Summary
Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance is hiring a Registered Ultrasound Technologist for a casual position across its Listowel and Wingham sites. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional responsible for operating specialized equipment to produce diagnostic images for medical diagnoses. Key responsibilities include assisting radiologists, preparing patients for examinations, reducing patient anxiety, maintaining quality assurance records, and documenting pertinent patient history and observations for the radiologist. Applicants must be graduates of an accredited ultrasound program and hold registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (A.R.D.M.S.) and/or Sonography Canada. Mandatory registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is also required. The role demands the ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and be on call. Relevant clinical experience of six months to one year is preferred.
