Secondary Occasional Technological Education Teacher

Summary

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is seeking Technological Education Teachers for their Secondary Occasional Teacher Roster, serving Grades 9-12. To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR), a Transitional Certificate (TCQR or MTCQR), or be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program within one year of graduation with at least two completed practicum placements. Required qualifications include teaching qualifications for Grades 9-10 and 11-12 (or expected upon graduation), and at least one Technological Education qualification in specific areas such as Communications, Computer, Construction, Hospitality and Tourism, Manufacturing, and Transportation. The application package requires a covering letter, resume, practice teaching reports or recent teacher performance appraisal, and optional reference letters. Interviews may be conducted via one-way video or video-conference. Offers of employment are conditional upon a Vulnerable Sector Police Check and confirmation of good standing with the OCT. Current WRDSB Secondary Occasional Teachers do not need to reapply.
