Community Mental Health Coordinator
Summary
Starling Community Services is seeking a full-time Community Mental Health Coordinator for a contract position lasting from September 28, 2026, to May 29, 2027. This role involves providing service coordination, brief treatment interventions, advocacy, and linkage to community services for children and youth experiencing mental health difficulties. Key responsibilities include assessment and treatment planning, family engagement, system navigation, and case management, all performed from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in psychology, social work, or a related discipline, combined with extensive relevant work experience, specifically three to five years in Children's Mental Health. Experience working with families with complex needs and a strong knowledge of community resources across mental health, educational, housing, child protection, and youth justice systems are essential. The position requires excellent professional, organizational, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are also required.
