Journeyperson Powerline Technician

Summary

Milton Hydro is seeking a Journeyperson Powerline Technician to join their team, focusing on the construction, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of the electric distribution system, including overhead and underground lines up to 27.6 kV. The role involves performing live line work, erecting poles, building and repairing underground cables, and working within substations. This position requires participation in emergency call-out and on-call duties, with a commitment to respond to work sites within 45 minutes. Candidates must possess a Journeyperson Power Line Technician Certificate or equivalent, a valid Class "D" driver's license with a "Z" endorsement, and a strong understanding of electrical utility safety rules. Fourth-year apprentices may also be considered for this full-time, unionized role.
