Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive)
Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive) is responsible for planning and executing programs within a manufacturing plant to achieve customer and company targets. Key duties include establishing control charting, monitoring machine and process capabilities, managing new process implementations, resolving design and manufacturability issues, and participating in the adoption of new technologies and automation. The role also involves creating work instructions, training production staff, supporting operations and maintenance, leading reverse PFMEA audits, and participating in the APQP process for new product launches. Candidates require a university degree in engineering or equivalent, strong communication skills, and at least 3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and automotive core tools is essential, and a Green or Black Belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma is an asset.
