Summary

The University of Guelph is seeking a Custodian 3 for Area N6 to provide custodial services across various environments on its main campus. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and staff. Key duties include gathering waste, tidying spaces, and utilizing cleaning tools and products according to departmental standards. The position requires a minimum Grade 10 education, preferably Grade 12, with at least one year of custodial experience in an institutional setting. Candidates must be physically capable of performing routine cleaning tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds, and may be exposed to hazardous materials. This is a regular, full-time position covered by the CUPE Local 1334 collective agreement, with an initial night shift assignment from Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
