Manager, System Control & Emergency Management
Summary
GrandBridge Energy Inc. is seeking a Manager, System Control & Emergency Management to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their electrical distribution system and lead emergency management and business continuity programs. This role involves leading a 24/7 Control Room, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for routine operations, outages, and major events. The Manager will also provide enterprise leadership for emergency preparedness, response planning, and coordination with internal and external partners. The position requires a post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with advanced practical knowledge of the Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC) and at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in an electrical distribution utility. Key responsibilities include managing and coaching the Control Room and Emergency Management teams, overseeing system operations, approving switching orders, leading response during outages, and maintaining emergency and business continuity plans. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering strong relationships with external agencies, and leading continuous improvement initiatives for Control Room programs and technologies. A valid Class G Driver's Licence and proficiency with Microsoft 365 are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience with emergency response plans, mutual aid coordination, and Control Room modernization.
