Summary

OCAS, a technology provider for Ontario's public colleges, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer for a 6-month contract position with potential for extension. This hybrid role requires three days per week in their Guelph office. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing technology that supports individuals applying to college, working across a full-stack environment utilizing .NET/.NET Core on the backend and MVC/Angular on the frontend. Responsibilities include technical ownership of code areas, leading design and feature development, performing code reviews, establishing coding standards, and mentoring team members. Required qualifications include over five years of custom software solution development experience, proficiency in .NET C# (Entity Framework, Web API, MVC), JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS preprocessors (TailwindCss/SASS/LESS/CSS), SPA frameworks (Angular, React), and MS SQL. A strong understanding of complex software development concepts like containerization and optimization, along with experience in architecting small to medium software solutions, is also essential.
