Registered Nurse - Women's & Children's Health (Paediatrics)

Summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time contract position within its Women's & Children's Health team, specializing in Paediatrics. This role involves assessing paediatric patients from infancy through adolescence, with a strong emphasis on family-centered care, parent education, and support. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills, facilitate discharge planning, and work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Key qualifications include a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario, a Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, and at least two years of current paediatric experience with physical assessment skills. Required certifications include BCLS and Neonatal Resuscitation (both within the last two years), and successful completion of a recognized Breastfeeding Certificate Program. Preference is given to applicants with APLS or PEARS certification. The contract is expected to end in December 2027.
