Summary
Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time float line position at its Wingham site. The successful candidate will work across the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, responsible for promoting and restoring patient health through the complete nursing process. This involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families, and supervising other team members. Key duties include organizing care, problem-solving, critical thinking, communicating with stakeholders, observing and recording patient behaviour, and safely administering medications and treatments. Applicants must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and hold a nursing diploma or degree, with a BScN being preferred. A minimum of two years of related nursing experience in both acute care and emergency department settings is required. The role also requires numerous certifications, including BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS/ENCP, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias, Defibrillator, 15 Lead ECG Interpretation, and CTAS. Preferred qualifications include education in palliative care, emergency nursing, and critical care, as well as experience with Cerner software.
