Summary
The Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for their 400 Medicine/Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) at the Queen’s Blvd location. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide holistic care, developing individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. The RN will also educate patients and provide emotional support. The position requires adherence to the practice standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Candidates must be graduates of an approved RN program and registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A minimum of one to two years of acute care hospital experience is required, along with a current Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. The role demands strong critical thinking, problem-solving, advanced assessment, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement in nursing practice is also preferred.
