Summary

Wilfrid Laurier University is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their People and Culture department. Accountabilities include guiding safe work procedures, supporting program development and auditing, coordinating incident investigations, managing the Contract Labour Program, performing respirator fit testing, leading the ergonomic program, and delivering health and safety training. Specific duties for Facilities and Asset Management (FAM) and Food Services are also outlined, including administering safety programs like WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, and Fall Arrest, and maintaining safety data sheet inventories. The role also supports fire and life safety, and psychological safety initiatives.
