AeroWR Growth Lead

Summary

The Region of Waterloo is seeking an AeroWR Growth Lead for a temporary, full-time, 18-month contract. This role will lead the day-to-day execution of the AeroWR strategic growth initiative, focusing on supporting, expanding, and promoting the region's aviation, aerospace, and defence sectors. The Lead will cultivate high-impact partnerships, manage continuous industry engagement, plan sector events, oversee communications, and handle reporting for projects funded by the Trade Impacted Community Program. The position requires a 3-year degree/diploma in a related field with 4 years of experience, or a 4-year undergraduate degree with 3 years of experience, along with strong skills in strategic communications, project management, and community relations. Familiarity with the aviation, aerospace, and defence sectors is essential. The role involves hybrid work, with 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
