Registered Nurse
Summary
The Inter-professional Primary Care Team (IPCT) is seeking a Permanent Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide primary care services to registered Primary Care clients and community clients, with a focus on marginalized populations. The role involves collaborating with the IPCT to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs and services, utilizing clinical skills to identify client and community needs. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, physical examinations, health screenings, administering immunizations, performing venipuncture, wound care, and providing education on chronic diseases. The RN will also chart in an EMR and support program evaluation. Qualifications include an undergraduate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma with additional training, current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and 3-5 years of nursing experience in a community setting. Preferred qualifications include a smoking cessation certificate, Certified Diabetes Educator, or Spirometry Certificate, along with experience in chronic disease prevention and management, mental health and addictions, and front-line experience at a CHC or in outreach. Current CPR and First Aid certification are required. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits, including HOOPP.
