Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Summary
Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a Regular Part-Time Registered Nurse for their Operating Room. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within the OR, Endoscopy Suite, Day Surgery, and Recovery Room, adhering to College of Nurses of Ontario standards. The position requires registration with the CNO, a Post Graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing, and current BCLS. Experience in the OR is preferred, along with current ACLS & PALS certificates or willingness to obtain them. The role also requires a Post Anesthetic Care Nursing certificate/course or willingness to obtain, and preparedness to work across all areas of the Surgical Suite. Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to function as an interdisciplinary team member and potentially assume a leadership role. The position involves Monday-Friday hours with a regular monthly rotation of standby and call-backs, requiring the ability to respond within a specified timeframe.
