Registered Practical Nurse, Women's & Childrens (Obstetrics)

Summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join its Women's & Children's Health team, specializing in Obstetrics. This role involves assessing, analyzing, prioritizing, planning, and evaluating care for women and families in both normal and complex situations, encompassing antenatal care, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, infant care, and care following perinatal loss. Key qualifications include current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a Diploma in Practical Nursing, and certifications in BCLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and a Breastfeeding Certificate Program. Candidates must have recent experience within the past two years with the physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs of postpartum women and neonates, along with proven teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills. Experience with Meditech is considered an asset.
