Automotive Service Attendant

Summary

The City of Kitchener is seeking a temporary full-time Automotive Service Attendant for approximately six months. This role involves washing, fueling, and conducting daily inspections of City vehicles under the Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) program. Responsibilities also include inspection, maintenance, and repairs of trucks, vehicles, and related equipment, as well as documenting work activities in an automated Fleet Management System. The position requires a minimum Grade 12 diploma, experience with Legislated Daily Vehicle Inspections on CVOR Air Brake equipped medium-duty vehicles, and mechanical aptitude. Candidates must possess basic hand tools, knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it pertains to Fleet, and strong communication skills. Reliability and a good employment record are also essential.
