Registered Practical Nurse
Summary
The Grand River Community Health Centre is seeking a full-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join their Inter-professional Primary Care Team at the Charing Cross Medical Family Practice. The RPN will collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive primary health care services, including conducting assessments, administering immunizations and injections, performing wound care, and offering education and support for chronic diseases. The role involves charting in an EMR system and developing health teaching tools and screening programs. Key qualifications include current RPN certification in Ontario, CPR, and First Aid. Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of nursing experience in a primary care setting, frontline experience at a CHC, and experience in mental health and addictions. Certifications in diabetes education, respiratory education, and motivational interviewing are assets. Access to a car and auto insurance is required.
